Bethany Miller, a proud native of Bolivar, Tennessee, is a devoted educator, community leader, and advocate for equity, service, and faith. Her life and career reflect an enduring commitment to education and the betterment of her community.

A 1998 graduate of Bolivar Central High School, Bethany earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa in 2003, followed by a graduate degree from Virginia State University in 2005. Continuing her pursuit of lifelong learning, she completed an additional graduate degree from Austin Peay State University in 2023.

With over 19 years of experience in education, Bethany has dedicated her career to helping students reach their full potential. She currently serves as the Assistant Principal of Bolivar Elementary School, where she strives to create a nurturing and inspiring environment that supports both academic and personal growth.

In addition to her work in education, Bethany is deeply engaged in civic and community service. She serves as a County Commissioner for District 2 in Hardeman County and as Vice President of the Dixie Benefit Association, demonstrating her strong commitment to leadership and public service. Her community involvement also includes serving on the Southwest Human Resource Regional Agency (HRRA) Head Start Policy Council and the Eric Beasley Foundation.

Bethany is an active voice for social justice and civic engagement as the Vice President of the Bolivar-Hardeman County Branch of the NAACP and an Executive Member of the Hardeman County Democratic Party.

A woman of strong faith, Bethany has been an active member of Antioch Baptist Church in Whiteville, Tennessee, for over ten years. Her faith community continues to inspire her service, compassion, and integrity in all aspects of life.
